Strictly handle the phenomenon of running schools and classes
The Ministry of Education and Training strictly prohibits the organization of specialized schools and selective classes at preschool, primary and secondary levels, and requires inspection and strict handling of negative phenomena aimed at school and class recruitment.
On June 2, the Ministry of Education and Training sent an official dispatch to the directors of the Departments of Education nationwide, stating that in the past, the Ministry and the People's Committees of provinces and cities have issued many regulations and implemented many solutions to rectify the negative effects arising from applying for school outside the district and choosing classes. However, the phenomenon of running for schools and classes still exists in many urban areas and densely populated areas, causing pressure on parents, creating resentment in society and making it difficult for the management of the sector.

To overcome the situation of running for schools and classes, the Ministry of Education recommends that the Departments direct the education offices and schools to organize enrollment to ensure students' right to study, organize it publicly and conveniently, and ensure the goal of universal education in the locality.
In addition, localities must also explain to school management staff and parents to limit the number of schools and classes. Along with that, it is necessary to improve the management capacity of staff and teachers; strengthen facilities to ensure uniformity in educational quality between schools and classes.
"Strictly prohibit the organization of specialized schools and selective classes at preschool, primary and secondary levels in any form. At the same time, strengthen inspection and examination work, and strictly handle negative phenomena aimed at school and class running," the Ministry's dispatch clearly stated.
To implement the above requirements, the Ministry of Education requests that the Departments advise the People's Committees of provinces and cities to direct the division of routes and assign enrollment quotas in accordance with the school quotas, facilities and population density of the locality. In densely populated areas, the authorities need to consider opening more schools and classes to reduce enrollment pressure.
