(Baonghean.vn) – As of May 26th, The Vissai Group's Song Lam Cement Plant has completed 95% of its construction and is currently focusing on transporting 35,200 tons of equipment to the plant for internal assembly.

According to Mr. Dinh Quoc Quyen, Director of Song Lam Cement Plant, the equipment was imported from Germany and China and has been assembled since April 2016, with a total weight of 35,200 tons and assembling for 27 items. It is expected that the kiln will fire up and produce the first product by October 2016. A convoy of trucks carrying equipment is waiting to enter the factory.
The Song Lam Cement Plant in Do Luong District, owned by The Vissai Group, has now completed 95% of its construction, encompassing all key components. The site for Phase 1 of the plant has been fully handed over to the investor, with no remaining obstacles. Land clearance for the employee housing area and the transportation route from the mine to the plant has been completed, ensuring readiness for the investor to begin construction.
The investor has handed over the boundary markers for the Phase 2 factory site to the People's Committees of Do Luong and Yen Thanh districts. Currently, the People's Committees of these districts are carrying out surveying and mapping, and are expected to ensure the land clearance and handover are completed before May 15, 2016. The detailed construction plan for the Phase 2 factory site is currently being reviewed by the Department of Construction and is expected to be submitted to the Provincial People's Committee for approval before April 20, 2016.
The investor is currently conducting surveys and preparing a plan for the conveyor belt route to transport clinker from the factory to the grinding station, which will be submitted for appraisal and approval before April 20, 2016.

The Song Lam Cement Plant project, with a capacity of 18,000 tons/day, is being built in Bai Son commune, Do Luong district. Phase 1 (2015-2017) involved the investment in two production lines with a total capacity of 12,000 tons of clinker/day (equivalent to 4 million tons of cement/year, creating jobs for 2,000 workers). Phase 2 (2017-2020) included the third production line with a capacity of 6,000 tons of clinker/day.
