(Baonghean.vn) - On July 27th, the Hung Nguyen District Youth Union helped Mrs. Nguyen Thi Khanh fulfill her wish to visit the Truong Bon Historical Site to light incense for her daughter, martyr Nguyen Thi Hoai - one of the 13 young volunteers who sacrificed their lives while on duty at the Truong Bon battlefront.

| Mrs. Nguyen Thi Khanh is 99 years old this year and has difficulty walking. She gave birth to seven children, and now four are still alive. She currently lives with her daughter-in-law in Hung Yen Nam commune, Hung Nguyen district. Every year on July 27th, Mrs. Khanh looks forward to visiting the grave of her daughter, Nguyen Thi Hoai, a martyr who died at the age of 16 in Truong Bon. |

| Sitting by her daughter's grave, combing her hair, Khanh's mother thoughtfully reminisced about the days before her daughter, Nguyen Thi Hoai, joined the army. She remembered the time Hoai came home to visit and asked her to take care of the lemon tree so that when she returned, she could pick leaves to boil and use as a hair rinse. |
