Request to speed up the progress of the Nghia Dan district medical center project
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 14, the working delegation of the Provincial People's Committee led by comrade Le Minh Thong - Member of the Standing Committee - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee worked with the Nghia Dan District Medical Center to listen to the report on the investment process of building the Medical Center phase 2.
Attending the meeting were representatives of the Department of Health, Department of Finance, Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Home Affairs, People's Committee of Nghia Dan district, and contractors for the construction of the medical center.

The investment project to build Nghia Dan district medical center phase 2 was approved on November 27, 2009 on an area of over 6,300m2in Nghia Binh commune. With a total investment of 93.48 billion VND, the center has a scale of 80 beds and will perform 2 functions: preventive medicine and medical examination and treatment for local people.
As planned, the project was to be handed over and put into use in September this year. However, up to now, the project has only completed 5 packages, is under construction for 7 packages and has 2 packages temporarily suspended. During the construction process, the investor terminated the contract and replaced the main contractor.

At the meeting, the delegates focused on discussing and analyzing the causes of the slow progress of the Nghia Dan District Medical Center project, and proposed some solutions. Some opinions pointed out the shortcomings of this project: The project has basically completed the rough part, but the investor has not yet selected a consulting unit to supervise and inspect the project. This creates quality gaps in the construction process. The building has basically been completed, but the fire prevention and fighting items have not yet been constructed.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Le Minh Thong requested: The investor must immediately correct the shortcomings in the construction process of the Nghia Dan district medical center project. Nghia Dan district must balance capital sources to arrange construction of items in appropriate order, prioritize purchasing office equipment, building a waste treatment system; Speed up the project progress but must put quality first to ensure the project is effective./.
