Vietnam-Japan University project will soon come into effective operation

On the afternoon of July 21, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organizing Committee received Mr. Takebe Tsutomu, Special Advisor to the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance.

Mr. Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated Mr. Takebe's active contributions in strengthening the friendly relations between the two countries, the two National Assemblies and the people of Japan and Vietnam; acknowledged Mr. Takebe's efforts in promoting the implementation of cooperation projects between the two countries in the field of culture and education, typically the Vietnam-Japan University Project and the Japan-Vietnam Cultural Festival.

Affirming that training high-quality human resources is one of the three strategic breakthroughs in Vietnam's development, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh believes that with the close and effective cooperation of relevant agencies of the two countries, the Vietnam-Japan University project will soon come into effective operation, contributing to further strengthening the good friendship between Vietnam and Japan.

Special Advisor to the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians' Alliance Takebe Tsutomu informed Mr. Pham Minh Chinh about the progress of the Vietnam-Japan University project and the plan to organize the Japan-Vietnam Cultural Festival in the near future.

Mr. Takebe emphasized the importance of exchanges and interactions between the people, parliamentarians and localities of the two countries in creating a solid foundation for strong development of bilateral relations; expressed his wish to continue receiving active and effective support and cooperation from all levels and sectors of Vietnam.

Mr. Takebe affirmed that he will continue to make every effort to further strengthen and consolidate the Japan-Vietnam friendship./
