Nghe An: Body of 12th grade female student swept away by flood found

(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of May 30, Mr. Tran Xuan Loc - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Xuan Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District (Nghe An) said that the body of a 12th grade female student who was swept away by floodwaters on May 29 had been found.

Accordingly, after many search efforts by the authorities, at 1:00 p.m., the body of Bui Thi Thu Trang, a 12A6 student at Yen Thanh 2 High School, was discovered in a ditch passing through Van Thanh commune.

Before that, at around 1:30 p.m. on May 29, Trang and her two girlfriends went from Xuan Thanh commune to Ly Thanh commune to play. While passing the Dau Ly water regulation ditch from Do Luong district to Quynh Luu, Trang went down to wash her hands at the riverbank and slipped and fell into the rushing water and went missing.

It is known that Trang is an excellent student of the school. Last year, she participated in the provincial excellent student competition and won the Encouragement Prize in History.

Trang's body has been handed over to her family for burial.
