The unexpected incident happened on the opening day of the US Republican Party convention in Cleveland, where the keynote speaker was billionaire Donald Trump's wife, Slovenian model Melania Trump.

It turns out that part of Melania Trump's speech was simply copied from Michelle Obama's speech at a similar event - the Democratic convention in Denver 8 years ago. The situation became really funny when it was discovered that the speech was written by Hillary Clinton's speechwriter.

A representative of billionaire Trump's election campaign declined to comment specifically, pointing to a statement that said:

"In writing Melania's fascinating speech, the author took note of what inspired her in life and in a few places included passages that reflected her own thoughts." Melania herself, before speaking at the convention, affirmed that she "wrote all of her speeches herself, with a little help."
