50 athletes participate in the swimming competition for all ages in Nghe An province

(Baonghean.vn) – On the afternoon of July 18, at the Provincial Sports Training Center, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the 2016 Nghe An Province Swimming Competition for all ages.

Attending the tournament were representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Head of Delegation, Coach and 50 athletes from 9 districts, cities and towns.

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented flags and flowers to welcome the athletes participating in the tournament.

This is the second time the Nghe An province swimming tournament for all ages has been held. The tournament is a practical activity to promote swimming among all ages, creating a healthy and useful playground during the summer. In particular, it enhances health and skills to prevent drowning, and promotes awareness in the community about the importance of swimming practice, especially among young people.

On July 18 and 19, 50 athletes will compete in 22 events. Through the tournament, the province's high-performance sports teams will have the opportunity to discover and select potential athletes, adding human resources to the province's sports.
