At 4:30 p.m. on June 29, the working group of the Environmental Police Department and the Economic Police Department (Provincial Police) were on duty on National Highway 1A in Quan Hanh town, Nghi Loc district, and discovered a truck with license plate 18C-00117 driven by Pham Van Chinh (born in 1972), residing in Nam Tien commune, Nam Truc district, Nam Dinh province, with many suspicious signs.

The task force immediately asked the driver to stop the vehicle for an administrative inspection. Upon inspection, the authorities discovered that the vehicle was carrying 3 boxes containing 1,840 packs of foreign-made cigarettes, branded Esse and Hero. All of these goods did not have valid invoices or documents.

Immediately after that, the working group took the driver, vehicle and evidence to the headquarters to make a record. According to the driver's statement, the drugs were hired by an unknown person from Vinh to Nam Dinh to sell.

Currently, the case is being further investigated by the police.
