Quang Trung market has more than 400 kiosks, of which area A has 216 kiosks selling clothes, fabrics and votive offerings. Because Quang Trung market is temporary and is in the planning stage, it has not been upgraded yet. Many kiosks are covered with pressed bamboo and cardboard, so the risk of fire and explosion is very high.

According to data from Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department No. 1, in the first 6 months of 2016, there were 50 fires and blazes in Vinh city, including 2 large fires causing damage of about 1.5 billion VND.

Therefore, to raise awareness in fire prevention and fighting, since the beginning of 2016, Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department No. 1 has inspected nearly 500 conditional production and business establishments, discovered and handled nearly 100 establishments in violation, and paid 150 million VND to the state budget.

In addition, Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department No. 1 has conducted a survey of the actual situation and prepared documents to develop fire prevention and fighting plans at facilities for units.
