End of U17 National Qualifying Round: SLNA and 11 other teams enter the final round

(Baonghean.vn) - The National U17 Qualifying Round - Thai Son Nam Cup 2016 ended on the afternoon of June 16 with 12 teams participating in the final round determined.

According to the regulations, the 2016 Thai Son Nam Cup U17 National Qualifiers include 22 participating teams, divided into 4 groups to compete. The 8 teams that finish first and second in each group, along with the 3 third-place teams with the best results, along with the host Tay Ninh, will participate in the final round.

After two home and away matches, the qualifying round ended on the afternoon of June 16. Accordingly, HN.T&T, Viettel, HAGL, Sanatech.KH, SLNA, QNK Quang Nam, PVF and Dong Thap won direct tickets to the finals. The three third-place teams with the best results were Long An, SHB Da Nang and Dak Lak. Among the 12 teams participating in the finals, QNK Quang Nam participated for the first time.

The finals will take place from August 3 to August 18. Group A of the finals will be held in Tay Ninh. Meanwhile, the venue for Group B will be announced by the Organizing Committee later. Most likely, this group will be held at Thanh Long Sports Center, Ho Chi Minh City. Next week, the Organizing Committee will work with relevant parties to make an official decision.
