Many ATMs in Quynh Luu (Nghe An) are not working on holidays.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 23, many ATMs in Quynh Luu district(Nghe An)inoperable causing frustration among the people.

At the ATM of the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade - Bac Nghe An Branch located on National Highway 1A at the Cau Giat town intersection, there are 2 cash machines that are not working. When the card is inserted, the system pushes the card out.

Mr. Nguyen Van Manh, in Quynh Chau commune, said he had to ride his motorbike 12 km to Cau Giat town to withdraw money. When he arrived, the ATM was not working, so he had to return and wait.

Not only the ATM of the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade at Cau Giat intersection, but also the ATM in Block 3, near the District People's Committee, is ineffective. Finding out here, the system and signal are not working, many people who come to make transactions have to go home.

Mr. Nguyen Van Manh walked 12 km to the ATM to withdraw money but had to turn back due to a system error.

Because the ATM of the Industrial and Commercial Bank was not working, people had to go to other ATMs to make transactions, causing overload at some ATMs of the Agricultural Bank. Many customers were upset because they had to queue in the hot weather to wait their turn.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, in Quynh Long, said that because the ATM of the Industrial and Commercial Bank was not working, he went to the ATM of the Agricultural Bank. There were so many people withdrawing money that he waited for 30 minutes but still could not make a transaction. "Because my house is far away, I had to wait my turn," Mr. Hung shared.

This situation lasted from 8:00 a.m. on July 23 until 3:00 p.m. the same day, the ATM at Cau Giat was able to withdraw money but the one near the district People's Committee was still not working again. The situation of many ATMs not working, especially ATMs belonging to the Industrial and Commercial Bank, happened continuously. People want relevant units to overcome this situation to create favorable conditions for customers to make transactions at ATMs.
