Farmers are very excited because watermelons have both a good harvest and good prices. What is special is that in the past 2 years, the District People's Committee has directed the agricultural sector to open technical training courses and grow watermelons in a food safety and hygiene direction. Some notes: + Do not use growth stimulants because they stimulate the plant to absorb water strongly, the fruit grows quickly and accumulates a lot of water, making it susceptible to waterlogging, rotting, and broken fruit. + Fertilize in a balanced and adequate manner. If you over-fertilize, when the fruit is large and it rains, it will easily spoil. + Do not let the soil dry out too much when watering again or when it rains, the tree will easily crack. + When the fruit is small, do not water it, because it will make the fruit lose its hair and become rough. + Stop watering 5 - 7 days before harvest to ensure the quality of the melon is sweeter. + Stop spraying pesticides 10 - 15 days before harvest to ensure safety for users. |
