(Baonghean.vn) - After localities mobilized people to donate land to open roads according to the NTM criteria, electric poles were left "blocking" the roadside. In Yen Thanh district, there are currently more than 4,000 such electric poles, which have invisibly become "traps" on the road.

Ông Bùi Trọng Long - Chủ tịch UBND xã Mã Thành cho biết: Do công trình điện lưới Quốc gia xủa xã được xây dựng từ những năm đầu 90 của thế kỷ trước, nên phần lớn cột điện đã xuống cấp, nếu hạ xuống để di dời sẽ hư hỏng hoàn toàn, do vậy muốn di chuyển những cái cột này đến vị trí khác là phải thay cột mới, khiến chi phí sẽ cao so với dự kiến.

Mr. Phan Thanh Cao - Head of the Department of Industry and Trade of Yen Thanh district said: After the localities cleared the NTM traffic according to the new criteria, in the district there appeared more than 4 thousand electric poles lying on the roadbed and sidewalks of the NTM, causing loss of aesthetics and traffic safety, needing to be relocated to a suitable location. The Department of Industry and Trade has proposed to the District People's Committee to have a solution to handle these poles, but there is no specific direction yet. The Department of Industry and Trade will propose before the District People's Council meeting to agree on a suitable solution.
