(Baonghean.vn) - After localities mobilized people to donate land to open roads according to the NTM criteria, electric poles were left "blocking" the roadside. In Yen Thanh district, there are currently more than 4,000 such electric poles, which have invisibly become "traps" on the road.
On the Yen Thanh inter-district road, connecting from the town through the communes of Van Thanh, Phuc Thanh, Hau Thanh... there are many electric poles like this, so the road surface is only about 4 meters wide, very dangerous for vehicles participating in traffic. |
Especially at the bend bordering Phuc Thanh and Van Thanh communes, there are two electric poles blocking the roadside, making the road winding and very likely to cause traffic accidents. |
Ma Thanh commune has 63 electric poles like this. Local people are upset, the commune has requested the district and electricity sector many times, but no attention has been paid to them. |
Mr. Bui Trong Long - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ma Thanh commune said: Because the national power grid project of the commune was built in the early 90s of the last century, most of the electric poles have degraded, if they are taken down to move, they will be completely damaged, so to move these poles to another location, they must be replaced with new poles, making the cost higher than expected. |
This electric pole is located on the main road of hamlet 16, Phuc Thanh commune. To avoid accidents, the people have asked the commune many times to have a plan to move it to another location, but for a long time it has not been successful. |
Mr. Phan Thanh Cao - Head of the Department of Industry and Trade of Yen Thanh district said: After the localities cleared the NTM traffic according to the new criteria, in the district there appeared more than 4 thousand electric poles lying on the roadbed and sidewalks of the NTM, causing loss of aesthetics and traffic safety, needing to be relocated to a suitable location. The Department of Industry and Trade has proposed to the District People's Committee to have a solution to handle these poles, but there is no specific direction yet. The Department of Industry and Trade will propose before the District People's Council meeting to agree on a suitable solution. |
