Woman arrested for hiring gangsters to kill lover

Ms. Hoang Thi Ngoc Lan (46 years old, residing in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City) was prosecuted and temporarily detained to investigate and clarify the act of murder.

On the evening of July 26, Mr. Vu Xuan Rong, Deputy Chief of the People's Procuracy of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, confirmed that this agency had approved the order to prosecute and temporarily detain Ms. Lan.

Ms. Lan was identified as the mastermind in the case of Mr. Pham Duc Thinh (43 years old) who was shot twice by Tran Huu Thinh and Nguyen Van Toan and luckily escaped death.

Previously, on June 26, when Mr. Pham Duc Thinh was with many other people at a construction site in Tan Thanh, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Tran Huu Thinh shot him twice with a gun.

After nearly a month of investigation, the police arrested Tran Huu Thinh and Nguyen Van Toan in Hai Phong and extradited them to Vung Tau to investigate the murder.

From the statements of these two subjects, the police identified Hoang Thi Ngoc Lan as the mastermind in the above case.

Initial investigation results show that due to conflicts in love and business when living with Mr. Pham Duc Thinh, Hoang Thi Ngoc Lan called Tran Huu Thinh to tell him the story, then asked the South to deal with Mr. Thinh.

Lan was the one who provided data about the places where the victim Pham Duc Thinh often went in Tan Thanh district to Tran Huu Thinh.

Regarding the gun used to shoot the victim, after the crime, Tran Huu Thinh gave it to Nguyen Ngoc Hai (42 years old, residing in Vinh Trung commune, Nha Trang city) to hide at his home.

The police also seized this gun.

The investigation agency is currently examining the gun.
