Training in drowning prevention skills

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 17, Yen Thanh District Youth Union coordinated with the district's Department of Labor and Department of Education to organize a training course on drowning prevention for 113 union and team officials in the district.

Provincial Red Cross staff instruct on first aid skills for drowning victims

At the training session, the trainees were directly taught some knowledge by the staff of the social work and health care department of the Nghe An Provincial Red Cross such as the concept of drowning; causes of drowning; instructions on first aid skills for drowning victims, escape methods when being hugged or clung to by victims and instructions on swimming skills. After receiving theoretical knowledge, the trainees also practiced swimming skills and some hypothetical situations in drowning at the swimming pool.
