(Baonghean.vn)- Five people involved in the incident of using weapons to cause trouble at Vinh bus station have been prosecuted, of which four have been temporarily detained.

On the morning of July 8, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huu Cuong, Deputy Chief of Vinh City Police, said that today, a decision was made to prosecute and temporarily detain Ho Thi Bich Thuy (born in 1980, residing in Dong Vinh Ward, Vinh City); Truong Thanh Luu (born in 1987, Thuy's husband); Nguyen Huu Tri (born in 1996, residing in Le Loi Ward); Dam Anh Tuan (born in 1995, residing in Vinh Tan Ward) for 3 months for the crime of Disturbing public order.

Another accomplice named T. was also prosecuted for disturbing public order but is on the run, and the police have issued a wanted warrant.

Police records show that 4 days after committing the crime, Ho Thi Thuy was arrested by 20 police officers on the afternoon of June 28 on the 4th floor of Vinh Plaza Hotel on Mai Hac De Street (Vinh City). The evidence seized from her was the 3-section stick that she used to commit the crime earlier. Continuing to search Thuy's house, the investigation agency seized two swords and a knife.

A day later, Truong Thanh Luu (Thuy's husband) was arrested in Le Mao ward; Nguyen Huu Tri was arrested in Hong Son ward; Dam Anh Tuan surrendered to the police a few days later.

Investigation showed that earlier on the morning of June 24, Truong Thanh Luu drove a SH motorbike carrying Ho Thi Bich Thuy to Vinh bus station. After 11am, Thuy and her husband's motorbike left the bus station and checked the gate but did not stop to pay the 4,000 VND fee to enter and exit the station as prescribed. At this time, Mr. Ho Sy The, a security officer at the bus station, reminded them, Ms. Chu Thi Ha Giang and Nguyen Thi Nga, toll collectors standing nearby, said loudly, "If you don't pay 4,000 VND, what else can you say?"

After the toll collector said that, Thuy jumped out of her husband's car, pulled out a three-section stick from her person and attacked Giang and Nga. As a result, Giang suffered some bruises on her thighs and body, while Nga was wearing a pith helmet so she was not injured.

After the attack, Thuy declared, “I’ll be back in 5 minutes,” then got into her husband’s car and left. About 15 minutes later, Thuy led a number of young men, believed to be her “disciples,” armed with weapons to rush to the bus station, brandishing machetes and swords, looking for bus station employees to slash. About a dozen officers and toll collectors at the bus station ran in panic to escape.

The three-section stick and sword were found on Thuy's person and at her home.

After a few minutes of causing chaos here, the group got on their motorbikes and left. Determining that the case was serious and affected public order and security, Vinh city police immediately began investigating, and many detective teams were ordered to urgently arrest Thuy and her accomplices.

In this case, Ho Thi Bich Thuy was identified as the ringleader. Vinh City Police continue to consolidate the case file and hunt down the remaining person.
