Saudi Arabia's Prophet's Shrine Bombed
On July 4, three suicide bombings targeted mosques in the cities of Qatif and Medina in Saudi Arabia.
The attacks came as Saudi Arabians prepare to end the fasting month of Ramadan and celebrate Eid Al Fitr.
Local media reported that the first bombing occurred near a Shiite shrine in the eastern city of Qatif, destroying a car near the shrine.
The second bombing in the area occurred before 7 p.m.

Witnesses at the scene said the bomber detonated his explosives while trying to enter the temple.
Body parts were seen and are believed to be those of one of the suicide attackers.
On the same day, a suicide bomber detonated his explosives outside the main mosque in the western city of Medina, killing at least two police officers.
This is one of the holiest sites for Muslims, known as the Prophet's Shrine.
