On July 7th, the Vinh City Police announced that they had completed the case file and initiated criminal proceedings against Tran Trung Kien (born in 1984), residing in Hung Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province, for the illegal trafficking of narcotics.

Accordingly, in Quang Trung ward, Vinh City, the Drug Crime Police Team of Vinh City Police caught Tran Trung Kien red-handed while he was transporting drugs for sale.

At the scene, authorities seized one car, one electronic scale, 130 grams of heroin, and one G88 handgun. During an urgent search of Kien's residence, authorities seized two more K59 pistols.
