Overcoming obstacles in developing rural Party members.
(Baonghean.vn) - In recent years, the Party Committee of Quynh Tan commune (Quynh Luu district) has strengthened its leadership and guidance of Party branches in identifying, nurturing, and assisting outstanding individuals to strive to become Party members.
Comrade Nguyen Dinh Binh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Quynh Tan commune, said: The Party Committee of Quynh Tan commune currently has 342 party members, operating in 21 branches (including 4 school branches, 1 health station branch and 16 rural branches).

In previous years, Quynh Tan, like many other localities, faced difficulties in Party development work because most Youth Union members and young people who finished high school left the locality to study and work elsewhere; some Youth Union members who remained in the locality lacked the awareness to strive to join the Party.
Therefore, to overcome difficulties in Party development work, the Party Committee of Quynh Tan commune has focused on leading mass organizations and Party branches to review potential Party members and direct the promotion of emulation movements, thereby identifying exemplary individuals.
For Party branches in difficult areas, the Standing Committee of the commune Party Committee always listens to the opinions, thoughts, and aspirations of the people, especially those who have the desire and will to strive to join the Party. Through this, they identify outstanding individuals and guide the Party committee and branch to monitor and assist them.
The Party cell of Hamlet 4 has 198 households with 979 inhabitants. This is a particularly difficult Party cell in terms of developing Party members. To date, the cell has 7 Party members, including 2 young members who were recently admitted.
Comrade Ho Ba Thuong, Secretary of the Party Branch of Village 14, said: “For many years, the work of developing Party members has faced many difficulties, even nearly 11 years in a row, the Party branch did not recruit any Party members due to a lack of potential candidates. Recently, the Party branch has admitted two more Party members. Among them is Party member Dau Van Thuy, an active and dynamic Youth Union member who actively mobilizes Youth Union members and young people in the village to participate in the new rural development movement and volunteer activities of the commune's Youth Union.” |
Young Party member Dau Van Thuy shared: “As a young Party member, I am always aware of my role and responsibilities, working with the Party committee and branch to encourage the people to develop the economy, effectively implement emulation movements, especially in Party building and carrying out political tasks in the locality.”
In the process of building the Party and the political system, the Party Committee of Quynh Tan commune always prioritizes standards and quality, not quantity; considering the work of developing Party members as an important indicator when reviewing and classifying strong Party branches annually.
Thanks to methods adapted to local conditions, in recent years, the Party Committee of Quynh Tan commune has consistently exceeded its targets and is one of the top units in Quynh Luu district in terms of the rate of recruiting young Party members.

In just the two years of 2014 and 2015, and the first six months of 2016, the entire commune monitored and admitted 32 new Party members. These outstanding individuals all met the criteria, were enthusiastic about the movements, and contributed together with the Party committee, government, and people to promote socio-economic development and build new rural areas in the locality.
In order to gradually improve the quality of Party building work in general, and Party development work in particular, in the coming time, the Party Committee of Quynh Tan commune is focusing on leading the effort to overcome existing shortcomings and limitations, and continue to effectively carry out the work of developing Party members.
First and foremost, Party committees at all levels must do a good job of political and ideological education, enhancing the role and responsibility of cadres, Party members, and mass organizations in caring for and nurturing outstanding members to recommend to the Party organization.
Continue to launch patriotic emulation movements associated with studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh... creating favorable conditions and environments for the masses to train and strive to become Party members.
The commune Party Committee unanimously agreed to focus on strengthening inspection, supervision, and maintaining Party discipline; attaching importance to Party development, especially Party development among youth union members; and continuing to innovate and improve the quality of cadres and Party members to meet the requirements of the current period.
