In today's busy and hectic life, many parents choose to "lull" their children into complacency by allowing them to use electronic devices so they can focus on their own work. However, the warnings about the potential health consequences of these devices are truly alarming:

Affects the bones

According to the latest research by scientists from Curtin University, Australia, on the unintended effects of electronic devices on children's development, experts believe that children who frequently use electronic devices and are less physically active will have their muscles and bones unable to develop healthily. After a long period of inactivity, children will develop more slowly than normal, and may even suffer from bone deformities.

Increases the risk of brain cancer by 4-5 times.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed that radiation from mobile phones can cause cancer. This statement is based on a decision by a group of 31 scientists from 14 countries.

Specifically, according to these scientists' analysis, the brains of young children contain more fluid than those of adults, and they have thinner skulls, which affects the amount of radiation absorbed, making them more vulnerable than adults.

For teenagers and children who use mobile phones from a young age, the risk of brain cancer is about 4-5 times higher compared to those who do not use them.

Having eye disease

When using electronic devices, children's eyes are almost entirely focused on the screen. Since children's eyes are still developing, the intense light from mobile phones directly impacts their still-developing vision.

Especially with newborns, absolutely do not use your phone's flash to take pictures of them, as it can easily damage their delicate corneas.

Increased risk of obesity

When children are engrossed in electronic devices, they move less, their physical activity is limited, and this can lead to weight gain. According to one study, children who use a technology device in their bedroom have a 30% higher chance of developing obesity, and are subsequently more susceptible to diabetes, stroke, and heart attack.

Some experts even believe that 21st-century children may be the first generation to outlive their parents due to obesity and the use of high-tech devices.

Disrupts sleep

Using smartphones before bed increases the risk of sleep disorders, insomnia, insufficient sleep, and waking up in the middle of the night, negatively impacting health. This is because the blue light emitted from the screen inhibits melatonin production, prolongs wakefulness, and accumulates neurotoxins, leading to poor sleep quality. However, that's just regarding sleep; blue light has a much greater impact on overall human health.

According to experts, to minimize the harmful effects, children should spend a maximum of 15 minutes per day using touchscreen devices, and less than one hour per day using other electronic devices.
