(Baonghean.vn) - The pig farm with nearly a hundred pigs owned by Mr. Thai Huu Trong in Hai Lam 1 hamlet, Que Son commune, Que Phong district is raised using a "unique" method - letting them listen to music, helping them sleep well and gain weight well.

Although we had heard about it before, we were still surprised when we visited Thai Huu Trong's pig farm. Inside the clean and spacious barn, dozens of pigs were sleeping quietly. Right above the barn, he designed a place to put the phone, along with a speaker system playing melodious music...

During the day, Mr. Trong plays music for the pigs to stimulate them to sleep during the day and eat at night, helping them gain weight quickly.

Mr. Trong said: After two years of working abroad, accumulating a little capital and experience in raising animals, he returned to his hometown to start a business with a model of letting pigs listen to music. This experience was learned while working for a farm in China.

At first, applying this farming method will disrupt the animals' biological rhythms. Therefore, he must be very patient in creating habits for the pigs, and gradually they will adapt to sleeping during the day and eating at night. The cool weather at night will make the pigs eat more and grow faster.

Pigs doze off while listening to music

Thanks to being raised by listening to music, the pigs gain weight quickly, shortening the raising time by about 10 days/batch.

By raising pigs by listening to music, he saves money and effort, shortening the care time by about 10 - 15 days.

In addition to raising pigs for meat, Mr. Trong also invested in developing a VACR model farm. Currently, his farm has about 60 pigs, 2 fish ponds, 700 poultry, 3 fattened buffaloes and more than 1 hectare of acacia. With this integrated farm model, he saves on pig feed costs. Each year, his family raises 3 batches of pigs, each batch of 50 - 60 pigs; earning about 40 million in net profit. In total, his income from the integrated farm earns him over 70 million VND each year.

Mr. Trong also developed the VACR model, bringing in hundreds of millions of VND in income per year.
