Shooting in Florida, USA: Not related to terrorism

(Baonghean.vn) - The shooting on the morning of July 25 (local time) at Blu nightclub in Fort Myers, Florida, USA has had initial conclusions, according to which, the local police force believes that this is not a terrorist attack.

The shooting took place outside the Club Blu nightclub, which was hosting a “teen night” event, leaving two people dead and about 17 others injured, mostly teenagers aged 12 to 27.

Police said the identities of the two unfortunate victims were Sean Archilles, only 14 years old, and Ste'Fan Strawder, 18 years old.

The incident took place at a time when the nightclub was closed and parents were picking up their children. The club’s official Facebook page later posted a message sharing the loss that the victims’ families have suffered.

The attack on the early morning of July 25 at Blu nightclub took place more than a month after the horrific incident at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, where killer Omar Matteen carried out a brutal shooting that took the lives of 49 civilians and injured 53 others.
