Strange: Well water caught fire

People scooped water from the well and smelled a strong smell of gasoline. When they tried to burn it, the whole bucket of water burned fiercely.

For more than 3 years now, 11 wells in Hamlet 3, Dong Thinh Village, Dong Xa Commune, Van Don District, Quang Ninh have turned black and when burned, the water bursts into flames. People suspect that there is a fuel leak from the Dong Xa gas station belonging to the Van Don Seafood Trading Company.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Quy (60 years old) said that at 7 pm on August 1, her family detected a strong smell of gasoline and oil. When they scooped up water, they found the well full of oil.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Tien (58 years old) said: "Even sitting in the house, I can smell the strong smell of gasoline. My whole family has headaches and nausea. For the past few days, we have had to move to the cultural house to stay."

Ms. Luu Thi Tam (53 years old) is always afraid of living above a dangerous gas pit: "My well is hidden under the floor, and there are many children in the house. If someone smokes and throws a cigarette butt down there, it will be dangerous for the whole family."
