A man named Loic told Nice-Matin that he will be grateful to Thierry for the rest of his life. His family is currently looking for Thierry, the man who saved their son's life.

According to Mr. Loic, on the evening of July 14, after watching fireworks, he put his son on his shoulders and walked down the street with a man named Thierry. Thierry was wearing a Nice shirt and Mr. Loic's son was wearing a Monaco shirt and the three were chatting when the truck appeared.

When the driver started shooting, the young man immediately reacted and helped all three avoid the bullets while Mr. Loic did not know what to do. When he regained his composure, both father and son were safe but Thierry was nowhere to be seen.
