(Baonghean.vn) - On July 25 and 26, the People's Council of Hoang Mai town, Nam Dan district held its 2nd session, term 2016 - 2021, to evaluate the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the first 6 months of the year and discuss solutions to implement socio-economic development tasks in the last 6 months of 2016.

* Hoang Mai Town: In the first 6 months of the year, 23/24 targets exceeded the plan.

In the first 6 months of 2016, the socio-economic development of Hoang Mai town continued to have steady steps of development, 23/24 targets achieved higher than planned; a number of key projects and works are about to come into operation, which will have many positive contributions to the socio-economic development of the town in the coming time.

Total production value reached over 4,000 billion VND, up more than 17% over the same period; budget revenue reached nearly 181 billion VND, up 10% over the same period; commercial services continued to grow well, with a value of over 520 billion VND, the tourism industry welcomed nearly 100,000 visitors; seafood output was 14,550 tons, up 14% over the same period, the total number of ships approved under Decree 67 was 26, 21 were built, 12 were launched, including 2 iron-hulled ships; political security was maintained, social order and safety were ensured, contributing significantly to stabilizing and gradually improving people's lives.

The Hoa Sen Steel Project, once put into operation, will play an important role in promoting the economic and social development of Hoang Mai town in the coming time.

However, there are still some limitations such as: the economy has developed quite well but not synchronously; some projects are behind schedule, urban management, land management and granting of land use right certificates are still slow; environmental pollution and social evils have not been improved, affecting people's quality of life.

Fishing is a high value economic sector of Hoang Mai town.

From the above limitations, the meeting focused on discussing solutions that need to be implemented in the remaining 6 months to achieve targets in the fields of socio-economics, national security and defense. After agreeing on the discussion contents according to the group submitted to the meeting, the delegates questioned a number of departments, agencies and branches.

In the first 6 months of the year, the total production value of Nam Dan is estimated at 2,890.42 billion VND, up 6.39% over the same period in 2015. The economic structure has shifted in the right direction, reducing the proportion of the agricultural sector and increasing the proportion of the industrial, construction and service sectors.
