From 2006 to present, the Department has provided 106,500 tons of rice for relief and hunger relief during natural disasters and crop failures, helping people overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives and production; provided many means and equipment for fire prevention and rescue work, search and rescue, and protection of the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland; provided 13,700 tons of national reserve rice to support students, contributing to helping students in especially difficult circumstances go to school.

In order to modernize the State Reserve sector, the State Reserve Department in Nghe Tinh region has been implementing large-scale, modern reserve projects, applying advanced preservation technology suitable for the preservation conditions of Vietnam's State Reserves such as Nghi Loc reserve (Nghe An); Thach Ha reserve, Cam Thach reserve (Ha Tinh).

In addition to modernizing warehouses, national reserves are preserved according to national technical standards. The unit's advanced preservation technologies have been applied with good results, such as rice preservation technology in an inert gas environment, paddy preservation in a sealed environment, maintaining quality, minimizing losses during the preservation process, and reducing preservation efforts.

When leaving the warehouse, the quality is guaranteed in terms of technical parameters, the cost of preservation is increasingly economical. Thanks to that, every year, a large amount of rice and paddy with guaranteed quality is exported to carry out relief and support for people affected by natural disasters, epidemics and crop failures, and during famines, contributing significantly to ensuring social security, contributing to stabilizing and developing production life in the area, leaving good feelings in the hearts of the authorities and people of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.
