Yamaha Vietnam unveils 150cc scooter for men.

The Yamaha NVX, a large-sized scooter for men equipped with a 150cc Blue Core engine, will be launched in Vietnam this year.

At the launch event for the Janus and TFX150 held by Yamaha Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City this morning, the Japanese automaker revealed initial information about a large-sized scooter model for men called the NVX.

Images of the NVX appeared at a Yamaha event.

The car was placed inside a reflective glass enclosure to prevent photography. However, based on preliminary observations, this is a rather aggressively designed model, aimed at male users.

The design lines of the bike are quite sporty, with sharp plastic details and a seat that tapers forward.

The rear of the bike is quite similar to the Exciter, while the front resembles the Nouvo but is larger in size.

The front features dual headlights, quite similar to other maxi scooters from the company such as the T-Max and X-Max. However, when viewed from the side, the NVX resembles the Exciter 150 sports bike, although it is larger in size.

Yamaha hasn't revealed which engine will be used, but from observation, it appears to be quite similar to the one fitted to the NMX, with a 150cc displacement.

Most likely, the NVX will become a competitor to the Honda SH and Piaggio Medley. For many years, Yamaha Vietnam has lacked a strong product in the maxi scooter segment, except for the NMX, which failed to make a significant impact.

This segment has been dominated by the Honda SH for many years, although several other brands have tried to enter this promising segment, most have failed. The arrival of a larger Yamaha scooter will create competition in this segment, giving consumers more options.

Initial information about the NVX provided by Yamaha is quite limited. The company confirms that the bike will be launched this year and promises to reveal more information in September.
