Determined to complete land acquisition for N5 route before August 15

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 2, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Thanh Dien led a working delegation including representatives of leaders of departments, branches and localities on a field trip to inspect the progress of the traffic road connecting road N5 (Southeast Economic Zone to Hoa Son, Do Luong).

The route connecting N5 Road of Southeast Economic Zone to Hoa Son, Do Luong is 28.5 km long, with the scale of a level 3 plain road, invested by the Department of Transport. The project is divided into 2 phases, with the goal of connecting the Western economic zone of Nghe An (Song Lam Cement Factory...) with the Southeast Economic Zone (Loc An Specialized Port, Nghi Thiet Cement Grinding Station...).

The working group proposed to speed up the progress of N5 road but must ensure quality requirements.

Up to now, the project has cleared 25.5km of land, the remaining 2.5km is still stuck, not yet cleared (mainly concentrated in Nghi Loc district). Currently, in Nghi Loc area, there are still 60 residential land plots and 42 agricultural land households that have not been cleared (people have not agreed to the compensation price).

The construction unit is actively implementing the construction of the site, aiming to open the route before October 30.

In Do Luong district, the liberation has been basically completed, only a few public works remain and the relocation progress is slow.

After conducting a field survey and checking the construction progress of the traffic project connecting N5 road, the working delegation listened to explanations and recommendations from leaders of departments, branches, and leaders of Nghi Loc district and Do Luong district.

Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the drastic direction of the Department of Transport, the industry and localities, and units in implementing the construction of the N5 road traffic project.

To speed up the project implementation progress, complete the exploitation and use of the works before October 30, 2016, the Department of Transport proposed that the Provincial People's Committee soon approve the residential land price; request Nghi Loc district to propose a solution for cases where households are difficult to relocate; urgently deploy the relocation of public works; and expect to complete site clearance before August 10.

The working delegation worked with representatives of departments, branches and localities to resolve problems in the construction of route N5.

Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, highly appreciated the drastic direction of the Department of Transport, the industry and localities, and the units that have urgently implemented the construction and achieved good results.

It is determined that this is an important route, creating momentum to promote socio-economic development in Western Nghe An; especially, the route serves the Song Lam cement factory project.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Transport to resolutely direct the implementation of the route; coordinate with sectors and localities to focus on resolving outstanding problems in site clearance; and be determined to basically complete the site clearance work before August 15.

At the same time, review the entire route in flood prevention work, to have drainage solutions, ensuring safety at the connecting and splicing points. Relevant sectors are requested to develop a plan to adjust compensation land prices, submit it to competent authorities for approval, to promptly remove obstacles during the construction process.
