Nghe An: 180kg of cat meat discovered under a passenger bus

(Baonghean.vn) - A passenger bus carrying 180kg of processed cat meat without documents was just arrested by Nghe An Traffic Police.

On the afternoon of June 16, Dien Chau Traffic Police Station (5-1), under the Traffic Police Department of Nghe An Province, said that the incident was discovered by the station's patrol inspection team in the early morning of the same day.

Accordingly, at around 2:00 a.m. on June 16, the working group on duty at km 418, National Highway 1A, in Dien Hong commune, Dien Chau district, discovered that the passenger bus 17B-012.27 driven by driver Cao Ngoc Son (born in 1971, residing in Tan De, Tan Lap, Vu Thu, Thai Binh) had many suspicious signs.

The task force immediately signaled to stop the vehicle and conducted an inspection, discovering two styrofoam boxes hidden under the vehicle, containing more than 180kg of slaughtered cat meat.

At the time of inspection, the driver could not produce quarantine documents. Accordingly, the working group made a record and handed it over to Dien Chau Veterinary Station for handling.
