Great opportunities are opening up for Vietnamese female players as more teams are showing interest and even promoting transfer contracts. The latest is the Sparta Praha women's team - the reigning champion of the Czech Republic.

Coach Mai Duc Chung revealed to the online newspaper Bong Da: “The CEO of the Sparta Praha women's club asked to meet me and my 5 female players. He directly sent an invitation to the Vietnamese players to come to the Czech Republic to compete professionally. Those 5 players are Chuong Thi Kieu, Khong Thi Hang, Nguyen Thi Xuyen, Nguyen Thi Muon and Dang Thi Kieu Trinh... The CEO invited his players to play there very sincerely... The story ends there.”

Coach Mai Duc Chung also admitted that the training trip to the Czech Republic brought the Vietnamese women's team great progress.

“The General Department of Sports and Physical Training and the VFF allowed the women's team to go to Europe for training, which is a wonderful thing. We have very good conditions, exposure to world-class science and technology, and can compete with strong opponents in Europe, including the women's team Sparta Praha - the champion of the Czech Republic. Good accommodation, good climate, good physical strength, good opponents, effective competition, the professional level of the players is constantly improving. My overseas Vietnamese also said: Looking so small, who would have thought she would play so well, with such technique", said coach Mai Duc Chung.

Until now, the whole team still remembers the memories in the Czech Republic with very emotional details.

Coach Mai Duc Chung said: “We are used to traveling, but the training trip to the Czech Republic was an emotional one. I would like to thank the Embassy and overseas Vietnamese in the Czech Republic. They took care of the whole team, making us feel like we were living at home.

Our overseas Vietnamese came to the airport to welcome the team, taking care of them, weighing fruits and sponsoring water for the whole team. Many people also brought food to each player or invited the whole team to eat at their home. Our overseas Vietnamese cooked Vietnamese dishes, according to Vietnamese tastes, and always encouraged them: “Eat a lot, eat until you are full… Even now, when I think about it, I am still moved and very grateful.”
