The highlight of the day was the ticket to the semi-finals of the Nghe An women's football team after convincingly defeating Thanh Hoa team with a score of 2-0. With this result, Nghe An will meet Ho Chi Minh City in the semi-finals. The remaining match will be between Can Tho and Hanoi after overcoming An Giang and Dong Thap teams.

In chess, the athletes continued to compete in the qualifying round and on the ranking, the Ho Chi Minh City team is still leading with 12 Gold Medals. Next are the Hanoi and Hai Phong teams. The Nghe An team with 2 Silver Medals and 2 Bronze Medals is currently ranked 8th out of 46 participating teams.

Today, karate and taekwondo continue to compete in events such as sparring and ka ta. However, for Nghe An, today is a “blank” day for medals. In the pole pushing event, Nghe An competed in 9 matches in the qualifying round, of which they won 5 and lost 4.

Today, the athletics event also opened with the participation of 620 athletes from 52 delegations. Today and tomorrow, the teams will compete in events such as high jump, shot put, long jump and running distances of 100m, 400m, 800m, 5000m and 4x100m relay.

On the medal table, Ho Chi Minh City is still the leading team with 67 gold medals, far surpassing the next two teams, Hanoi and Thanh Hoa. Nghe An team is currently ranked 24th.

Tomorrow, the last competition, physical education, will enter its first round at the Multi-Functional Hall of Ha Huy Tap High School.
