The photo appeared on a McLaren forum and was identified as the new 688 HS model, while a source from the company confirmed that this was a limited edition MSO HS version.

McLaren's bespoke model is based on the Super Series Coupe body style, the architecture used for the 675 LT, with a 679-horsepower 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. It also has McLaren P1 styling with an active rear wing and is around 40kg lighter than the 675 LT, according to Autocar.

McLaren's internal sources also said that the new supercar will only have 25 units produced by the bespoke branch MSO (McLaren Special Operations) and all have been sold out.

The online photo shows that the 688 has many aerodynamic elements such as a carbon fiber front splitter, large air intakes on the roof. The 688 is also more track-oriented than the 675 LT.

The British car company has remained silent about the information and images of the new supercar. Previously, paparazzi had caught the 688 HS, or MSO HS, testing and this product had even been tested on the computer several times.
