The General Staff Department conducts information technology training.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 15th, the Information Technology Department of the General Staff organized the opening ceremony of the 2016 Information Technology Training Course. Lieutenant General Ngo Van Son, Director of the Information Technology Department, presided over the training course. Major General Nguyen Chi Huong, Deputy Commander of Military Region 4, attended the opening ceremony.

The training course was attended by over 140 commanders from Information Technology Departments, Information Technology Technical Support Stations, and IT officers from agencies and units throughout the military. Over the two days, participants received instruction on the Politburo's Resolution on "Promoting the application and development of information technology to meet the requirements of sustainable development and international integration," as well as programs and legal documents on the application and development of information technology; and information technology technical support work linked to information security.

Trainees participating in the training course visited several IT products on display at the training facility.

Information security and IT technical support work; orientation for developing software and databases within the Ministry of National Defense and introduction of common software; overview of some issues regarding the protection of national sovereignty in cyberspace; computer network incident response drills; screening of films and clips on specific topics; exhibition and introduction of some information technology products; and a tour of the Technology Department and the IT technical support station of Military Region 4.
