(Baonghean.vn) - The second day of the high school boys' football competition at the 9th National Student Sports Festival featured matches in Group C, with victories going to Binh Duong and Long An teams.

The first match of Group C was between Binh Duong (red shirts) and Can Tho (blue shirts). Despite being considered the underdog, Can Tho confidently contested for possession and launched attacks from the very first minutes. However, against Binh Duong's solid defense, all the efforts of the Can Tho forwards proved fruitless.

In contrast to Can Tho's defensive style, which featured quick and varied counter-attacks, Binh Duong's forwards consistently broke the offside trap, surging forward to threaten the Can Tho goalkeeper's goal. In the 22nd minute, player number 10, Do Trung Dung, broke the offside trap, received the ball from a teammate's through pass, raced down the field, and chipped the ball over the goalkeeper's head to score a goal for Binh Duong.

Continuing their style of quick counter-attacks, once again in the final minute of the first half, player 21 Mai Hoang Sang dribbled past two Can Tho players before unleashing a diagonal shot into the net, increasing Binh Duong's lead to 2-0.

In the second half, Binh Duong maintained their playing style, while Can Tho players changed tactics, launching faster and sharper attacks, but Binh Duong's defense remained alert. In the 57th minute, from a cross by a teammate, captain Nguyen Dinh Duong Khang raced down and scored with a left-footed shot, sealing a 3-0 victory for Binh Duong against Can Tho.
