Hoang Mai gives 25 wheelchairs to the disabled

(Baonghean.vn) - On June 22, the Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans of Hoang Mai Town organized a donation of 25 wheelchairs to people with disabilities.

Leaders of the Association for the Support of the Disabled and Handicapped in Nghe An Province and Hoang Mai Town presented wheelchairs to the disabled.

These are the number of wheelchairs sponsored by the American Humanitarian Wheelchair Organization, the "Give Back My Childhood" organization of Da Nang city and the Humanitarian Organization for Vietnamese Children, worth 50 million VND. Currently, in Hoang Mai town, there are nearly 1,400 disabled people and orphans, of which more than 300 people with special disabilities need care. In the past 2 years, the town's Sponsorship Association has donated 50 wheelchairs, helping disabled people overcome difficulties and complexes to integrate into the community.

At the donation ceremony, officials of the Association for the Protection of the Disabled and the Disabled in the town instructed family members and disabled people on how to safely use wheelchairs.

In 2016, Hoang Mai Town launched a campaign to raise 500 million VND to support the disabled and orphans.
