'Listen to the people, speak in a way the people believe' in Dien Chau

(Baonghean.vn) - By continuously strengthening ideological work down to the grassroots level, Dien Chau has effectively implemented the Party's resolutions at all levels. After more than a year of implementation, the district Party committee has achieved many important results, creating a solid foundation to soon achieve the set targets.

The Resolution of the 21st Congress of the Dien Loi Commune Party Committee identified labor export as one of the key directions to promote the commune's economic development. Following the resolution's issuance, the commune committee developed a plan and focused on its implementation. Through a team of speakers and propagandists, the mobilization of the people was intensified. By finding export markets and building trust among the people, Dien Loi is now one of the communes in Dien Chau with the highest number of workers exported abroad, totaling 340 people, generating over 48 billion VND in annual revenue, accounting for 33% of the commune's total production value.

Party cell 5 of Dien Loc commune mobilized the people to develop livestock and poultry farming to increase income.

Comrade Hoang Xuan Hong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Dien Loi commune, said: “In the work of labor export, the commune has thoroughly explained, encouraged, and reminded people about where to go and where not to go… so that they feel secure. Thanks to the effective propaganda, the labor export work has yielded very good results.”

Hamlet 5 in Dien Loc commune has been recognized by the province as a model unit in the construction of new rural areas. The hamlet's chosen breakthrough area is the development of infrastructure and the restructuring of agriculture. Initially, there were many doubts and even opposition, as many considered this a government undertaking. However, with the involvement of the propaganda team, the obstacles in people's thinking were overcome. As a result, the villagers contributed funds to complete the cultural center grounds and concreted 100% of the inter-hamlet roads. Notably, the hamlet's single-variety rice field has the highest yield in the district, reaching 4.2-4.5 quintals per sao (approximately 1000 square meters), raising the value per hectare to 70 million VND per year.

Comrade Hoang Ke, Secretary of Party Branch 5 of Dien Loc commune, shared: “To effectively implement the new rural development movement, ideological work plays an extremely important role. Besides the Party branch having a leadership resolution, it is crucial to leverage the role of the Party committee and Party members in effectively carrying out propaganda and mobilization work among the people, harnessing the strength of the people.”

Officials in Dien Thanh commune are encouraging farmers to grow watermelons in high-revenue fields.

To build trust and consensus among the people, and to make them see their role as key players in implementing Party resolutions, ideological work must be one step ahead. Therefore, immediately after the completion of Party congresses at all levels, Party committees from the district to the grassroots level all have action programs. Ideological work, accordingly, not only involves the propaganda staff but also mobilizes the entire Party committee and political system to ensure ideological clarity. With the motto "hands-on guidance," oral propaganda is considered practical, easy to understand, relatable, and highly effective by the people. As a result, after one year of implementation, the Party committee has achieved significant results with an economic growth rate of nearly 8%, 15 communes achieving the new rural development goals, average per capita income reaching over 30 million VND/year, and the poverty rate reduced to 5.3%.

Comrade Chu Van Thiep, Head of the Propaganda Department of Dien Chau District Party Committee, said: “Dien Chau always recognizes the importance of ideological work and propaganda work to create high consensus for the effective implementation of resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels. Pressing and prominent issues, or emerging ideological problems, are always promptly addressed by advising the Party Committee and government on how to resolve them, thereby creating high determination in achieving the goals set by the District Party Congress for the 2015-2020 term.”
