What was special about the Miss Vietnam 2016 Grand Finale?
According to the organizers, after 14 years, Miss Vietnam is once again holding its final round in Ho Chi Minh City, so the Miss Vietnam final night will have many special features.Extremely surprising and impressive.
The Grand Finale took place on August 28th at Phu Tho Gymnasium (Ho Chi Minh City), broadcast live at 8:00 PM on VTV1, VTV9, and rebroadcast on 14 local television stations. This was an unprecedented scale of broadcasting in the history of the competition. Images from the event were also streamed live on the official Miss Vietnam YouTube channel and fanpage.

For the first time in history, Miss Vietnam held a red carpet gala to welcome guests, featuring high-quality service and broadcast live from 7:00 PM on VTV9. The stage design, guest seating, and audience seating arrangements were also fundamentally different from previous competitions, befitting the new scale and prestige.
The organizing committee, sponsors, artists, and contestants have been working diligently to deliver the most spectacular and high-class final night ever, featuring top names in the music industry beloved by the public such as Thu Minh, Ha Anh Tuan, Toc Tien, Noo Phuoc Thinh, Dong Nhi… At the Miss Vietnam 2014 Grand Finale, American singer Kelly Clarkson brought unforgettable moments to the competition. This year's competition continues to promote the spirit of international integration with the desire for a top-notch Grand Finale, while also giving the audience the opportunity to meet their favorite or idolized artists, therefore the organizing committee invited Bi Rain.
This isn't Bi Rain's first time performing in Vietnam, but it's the first time this most beloved Asian singer has performed in a live national television broadcast. Bi Rain's participation showcases the international nature, scale, professionalism, and grandeur of the Miss Vietnam 2016 pageant. Notably, Bi Rain will perform with all the finalists, and the singer expressed his delight at this news.

The Grand Finale will also feature five former Miss Vietnam winners: Nguyen Thi Huyen, Mai Phuong Thuy, Tran Thi Thuy Dung, Dang Thi Ngoc Han, and Dang Thu Thao. And for the first time in the history of the competition, two couples – Vu Manh Cuong and Thuy Van, and Ai Phuong and Duc Bao – will host the show.
The stage design for the Grand Finale will be spectacular and dazzling under the direction of General Director Hoang Nhat Nam - who has extensive experience in staging the preliminary rounds of Miss Vietnam 2014, Miss Mekong Delta 2015, Vietnam Film Festival 2015… and especially the two recent preliminary rounds in the North and South of the Miss Vietnam 2016 competition.
The Grand Finale will proceed in the traditional format with rounds including Ao Dai (traditional Vietnamese dress), Swimsuit, Evening Gown, and Q&A (Top 5). A Miss Vietnam, two runners-up, and eight winners of special awards will be selected, including: Miss Congeniality (automatically entering the Top 5), Miss Beach, Miss Talent, Miss Integration, Best Skin, Best Hair, Best Face, Best Ao Dai, and Best Evening Gown.

| Who will be crowned Miss Vietnam 2016? |
The new Miss Vietnam 2016 will receive a crown worth up to 2.2 billion VND, 500 million VND in cash, and the experience of living in a 5-star apartment in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City for the duration of her two-year term. The two runners-up will receive cash prizes of 300 million VND and 250 million VND respectively, along with many attractive prizes from sponsors.
In particular, the Top 3 Miss Vietnam 2016 will have an experiential and cultural exchange trip to the Japanese cities of Fukuoka and Nagasaki in October this year on a 5-star luxury cruise ship sponsored by a company. This trip will be their first overseas cultural exchange after being crowned.
Besides investing nearly 4 billion VND in charitable projects across the country, the Organizing Committee also decided to donate 500 million VND to the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
