45-day-old baby boy who went missing more than a year ago has not been found

(Baonghean.vn) - The incident happened nearly a year ago, but until now, people in Vinh Son commune (Anh Son) are still talking about the 45-day-old baby Le Canh Danh Tung who went missing while sleeping with his mother.

Holding back her pain, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ly recounted: On the afternoon of July 7, 2015, while she and her husband were working in the fields, her daughter Nguyen Thi Thom (born in 1992) was at home sleeping with her son Le Canh Danh Tung, who was only 45 days old. At around 3 p.m., Mrs. Ly came home and asked Thom where her son was. Thom woke up with a start, and frantically searched everywhere for her son but could not find him.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ly sadly recounted the incident.

Suspecting that Tung had been kidnapped, at around 6 p.m. the same day, the family filed a report with the Commune and District Police. Mr. Nguyen Huu Thanh - Chief of Vinh Son Commune Police said: "As soon as the incident occurred, the commune police came to the house to verify and reported to Anh Son District Police to investigate the case. Currently, the police investigation agency is still actively searching for the whereabouts of Le Canh Danh Tung."

It is known that Thom married Le Canh Trung (born in 1991) in Hamlet 1, Lang Son Commune (Anh Son). Due to circumstances, Trung had to go to Hanoi to work for hire. Thom stayed at her in-laws' house to give birth for more than a month, then asked for permission to return to her parents' house to take care of her child. But after returning for nearly 2 weeks, this incident happened. In November 2015, Thom asked her family's permission to go to the South to work for hire.
