Dear comrades!
Information and Communications is a comprehensive political, economic and technical sector, which is the foundation for socio-economic development and ensuring national security and defense. In recent times, the Information and Communications sector has made remarkable progress, always maintaining a high growth rate, effectively serving the industrialization and modernization of the country. Among those successes, there are great contributions from press and media agencies, especially in creating consensus among the people with the policies and guidelines of the Party, the State and the Information and Communications sector. I highly appreciate and commend the efforts, efforts to overcome difficulties, challenges and excellently complete assigned tasks, along with the achievements that the state management agencies of the press and press agencies in the sector have achieved.
On the occasion of the 91st anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2016), on behalf of the Party Executive Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Information and Communications, I would like to send my best wishes to all cadres, civil servants, journalists, reporters, editors, and collaborators who have been working in state press management agencies and press agencies in the Information and Communications sector.

In the coming time, the key task of the Information and Communications sector is to, together with the entire Party and people, successfully implement the Resolution of the 12th Party Congress, the Resolution of the National Assembly and the Government, striving to bring the sector to continue sustainable development, complete the set targets and plans, worthy of the role of a pioneering sector, leading in innovation and international integration.
I hope that the state press management agencies, press agencies and journalists in the Information and Communications sector will promote the glorious tradition of the Vietnamese revolutionary press and the dynamic, creative and pioneering tradition of the Information and Communications sector, constantly train political qualities, improve professional qualifications, uphold professional ethics and civic responsibility of revolutionary journalists, continue to improve the quality of news content, improve the form and method of reporting news accurately, honestly and quickly, and join forces with agencies, units and enterprises in the whole sector to make many practical contributions to the cause of national construction and development.
