94 works won the 10th National Press Award - 2015
After two working days (June 3-4, 2016), with a high sense of responsibility, seriousness, objectivity and impartiality, the Final Jury of the 10th National Press Awards (NCA) - 2015 has completed the evaluation of the press works of the final round. The Jury has selected and decided to award the National Press Awards to 94 best press works (including: 8 A Prizes, 26 B Prizes, 41 C Prizes and 19 Encouragement Prizes), out of a total of 142 works (belonging to 4 types of press: print, radio, television and electronic) in the final round.
After 10 years of organizing the National Press Awards, this is the year with the largest number of works and units participating in the Awards with 1,660 works from 169 units and individuals. The Awards received active participation from local Journalists Associations (61/63 units). The number of press agencies and collaborators also increased (207 collaborators), the number of press photos, although not as many as expected, still reached more than 100 works.

Speaking at the conclusion of the final round of the 10th National Press Awards 2015, comrade Thuan Huu - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, President of the National Press Awards Council, President of the Final Round Council affirmed: During 2 working days, 40 members of the Final Round Council discussed the criteria for judging the Awards, scored and classified the works A, B, C, Encouraged out of a total of 142 works in the Final Round to award the Awards; The Final Round judging process was carried out in accordance with the Awards Charter and the Rules of the Awards Council.
At the same time, comrade Thuan Huu stated: In terms of quality, the works submitted for the Award are generally even, there are no works that are too weak, but there are also not many works that are truly outstanding... The works submitted for the Award meet the selection criteria, stated in the Selection Guidelines of the Award Council: Closely following the political tasks of the country, of the industry, of the locality; promptly, vividly and diversely reflecting the economic, social, security and defense situation of the country.
Many works go into depth to introduce new factors, good people and good deeds, typical advanced models in economic activities, investment and development, preventing economic decline; hunger eradication and poverty reduction in remote areas, ethnic minority areas; Overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and floods; Fighting corruption and negativity; Fighting against hostile forces, illegal activities against the State. The issue of economic development associated with environmental protection; agriculture, rural areas, farmers, etc.
Also according to the assessment of the Final Round Council: The works that entered the Final Round and won prizes are typical works, have the ability to discover problems, have social influence and are presented in a professional, attractive manner, vividly reflecting all aspects of life, focusing on reflecting the major issues of the country, contributing to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

On this occasion, the Final Jury also evaluated the Preliminary Judging process, and also raised a number of issues that need to be learned for the following Awards, especially the promotion of responsibility and improvement of the quality of the Preliminary Jury; In addition, the National Press Awards Council also listened to the opinions of the members of the Final Jury on continuing to innovate the organization and implementation of the National Press Awards. The opinions of the Final Jury will be received, studied, supplemented and adjusted by the Standing Committee of the Awards Council in the coming time...
In the near future, the National Press Awards Council will hold a press conference to provide general information about the 10th National Press Awards - 2015. The closing ceremony and awarding ceremony of the 10th National Press Awards - 2015 will be solemnly held on the occasion of the 91st anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (evening of June 21, 2016) at the Vietnam - Soviet Union Friendship Cultural Palace, broadcast live on VTV1 channel of Vietnam Television, VOV1 of the Voice of Vietnam and a number of local Television stations.
