Wanted for murder but still drove girlfriend to rob

Phuc, who was wanted by the police for murder, still drove his girlfriend to Binh Duong to rob her. When the police chased him, they fought to escape but were unsuccessful.

On August 10, Thuan An Town Police (Binh Duong) are detaining Cao Hong Phuc (21 years old) and Tran Kim Yen (23 years old), both residing in Ho Chi Minh City, to investigate the act of robbery.

Authorities determined that Phuc is wanted by Ho Chi Minh City Police for murder.

According to initial information, at the end of 2015, his friend in District 8 (HCMC) had a conflict with a young man named Thao. When he heard his friend calling to ask him to "deal with" his opponent, Phuc ran over and used a sharp knife to stab Thao to death.

After the incident, Phuc’s friend was arrested and the 21-year-old fled the area. During his wandering life, Phuc earned money by snatching property.

On August 8, a young man drove a motorbike carrying Tran Kim Yen to Thuan Giao residential area (Thuan Giao ward, Thuan An town) and then approached the residents to rob their necklaces. They were chased by the working group of Thuan Giao ward police and Thuan An town police. After running for 10 km, the couple was approached by the police.

To escape, Yen used a sharp knife to stab Lieutenant Tran Van Thong (Thuan An Town Police) in the side, causing injury. Phuc continued driving the motorbike, carrying the girl for another 3 km before being restrained by the police and local people.

Police determined that in 2010, Phuc robbed property in District 4 (HCMC) and was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison. When his sentence expired, this young man continued to commit robberies in District 8. Meanwhile, Tran Kim Yen also had two previous convictions for robbery.

On August 10, Binh Duong Provincial Police rewarded the Thuan An Town Police and individuals involved in arresting the robbery couple.
