Woman charged with assaulting 19-year-old pregnant woman in a jealous rage.

(Baonghean.vn) - A group of four people have been charged with cutting the hair and stealing the phone of a 19-year-old pregnant woman.

On August 25th, Vinh City Police announced that they had initiated legal proceedings and detained for four months Luu Viet Ben (born 1980, residing in Nghia Tien commune, Nghia Dan district); Nguyen Van Tuan (born 1989, residing in Quynh Phuong ward, Hoang Mai town); and Nguyen Viet Dan (born 1991, residing in Quynh Thang commune, Quynh Luu district) for the offenses of humiliating others and robbery. Ta Thi Tuyet (born 1959, residing in Nghi Kim commune, Vinh City), who was charged with the same offenses, was released on bail due to health reasons.

According to investigators, for months, Mrs. Tuyet suspected her husband, Mr. Hoa (62 years old), of having an affair with Dam Thi Thuy (born in 1997, residing in Nghia Dan district), who is currently temporarily residing in Nghi Phu commune (Vinh City). Recently, upon learning that Thuy was pregnant, Mrs. Tuyet suspected that the 19-year-old girl's unborn child was her husband's, causing her jealousy to reach its peak.

On August 10th, Tuyet contacted Luu Viet Ben (Thuy's uncle) and hired him for 3,000,000 dong (three million dong) to assault Thuy by cutting her hair, tearing her clothes, and recording a video. Ben agreed to the "contract" and then enlisted Nguyen Van Tuan and Nguyen Viet Dan to help carry it out.

On August 11th, Ben's group went to Thuy's room, slapped her in the face, Dan went down to the kitchen to get a pair of scissors and cut Thuy's hair, while Tuan used Ben's phone to take pictures and stole two of the victim's phones.

The three suspects are Ben, Tuan, and Dan.

During the investigation, on August 20th, Luu Viet Ben, Nguyen Van Tuan, and Nguyen Viet Dan were arrested. A day later, Ms. Ta Thi Tuyet was arrested. The investigating agency also initially determined that at the time Ben's group humiliated her and stole her phone, the victim was five months pregnant, but the pregnancy was not affected.

The case continues to be handled by the Vinh City Police.

The victim's full name in this case has been changed.
