Quynh Luu: Caught nearly 28 thousand tons of seafood in the first 6 months of the year

(Baonghean.vn) - In the first 6 months of 2016, Quynh Luu fishermen actively went offshore, caught 28 thousand tons of seafood of all kinds; reaching 56% of the yearly plan.

Quynh Luu is the district with the largest number of boats in the province with 1,269, of which 695 are offshore fishing boats with a capacity of 90CV or more. The annual seafood output of the whole district is from 45-50 thousand tons. In the first 6 months of 2016, the whole district caught 28 thousand tons of seafood of all kinds, including: 1,180 tons of squid, 670 tons of exported hairtail fish, 3,400 tons of silver pomfret, 1,400 tons of mackerel...

In the first 6 months of 2016, Quynh Luu fishermen caught 28 thousand tons of various kinds of seafood.

Communes that engage in seafood fishing include: Tien Thuy, Quynh Long, Quynh Nghia, Son Hai... Among them, Son Hai is one of the communes with the most developed squid fishing profession. In the first 6 months of the year alone, the whole commune caught 543 tons of squid and 220 tons of hairtail for export.
