The youngest provincial chairman in the country was re-elected with 100% of the vote.
On the morning of June 27th, the 17th term of the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Council (2016-2021) opened its first session. At this session, Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh (40 years old) was re-elected as Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee.

Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh, alternate member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2011-2016 term, was re-elected as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2016-2021 term with 54 out of 54 votes of confidence, achieving 100%.
Mr. Khanh was born in 1976 in Tien Dien commune, Nghi Xuan district (Ha Tinh province). He holds a PhD in Urban and Construction Management and is a senior political officer. Before becoming Chairman of the province, Mr. Khanh held various positions including Director of the Department of Construction, Chairman of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of the province, Secretary of Nghi Xuan district, and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province.
At the 12th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Mr. Khanh was elected as an alternate member of the Central Committee. At the 16th session of the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Council on April 21, Mr. Khanh was elected Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee. At the age of 40 when he took office, Mr. Khanh became the youngest provincial chairman in the country.
