Nghe An supports 200 million for each hamlet and village in mountainous areas that meet new rural criteria.

(Baonghean.vn) - This information has just been shared by Mr. Nguyen Van Hang - Deputy Chief of Office of the Office of New Rural Development (NTM) coordination in Nghe An province. Previously, although the Provincial People's Committee had temporary regulations on recognizing hamlets and villages that met NTM criteria since the end of 2015, due to the lack of support mechanisms, the implementation progress was still slow compared to the requirements.

Officials from Chan village, Thach Giam commune (Tuong Duong) - the first commune 30a in the province to meet the new rural standards, discussed experiences in mobilizing people to build new rural traffic.

Since mid-June 2016, on the basis of balancing capital sources, the province has built a support mechanism, accordingly in 2016, along with continuing to support and promote communes to register to reach the New Rural Area (NTM) finish line according to regulations, the whole province strives to build 10 hamlets and villages meeting NTM standards in mountainous districts, especially highland districts to reach the finish line. Districts are responsible for directing communes to survey, select and develop a Project to submit to the People's Committees of districts for appraisal and approval, and the province has a support and incentive mechanism.

Although 90% of the people in Hamlet 4, Nghia Tien Commune (Thai Hoa Town) are Tho ethnic people, they are still at the forefront of building new rural roads.

In addition to the district's support mechanism (if any), hamlets and villages that register to meet the NTM criteria will receive about 200 million VND/hamlet from the province in the form of cement support to build infrastructure works. Unlike the 19 sets of criteria at the commune level, hamlets and villages that meet the NTM standards will have about 14 more criteria.

However, one of the key criteria groups is that cultural and sports facilities are basically invested in to meet standards; cultural and spiritual life; people's occupations and incomes are relatively stable; hamlets and villages retain the typical characteristics of rural villages in the new period.

In the process of assessing hamlets and villages that meet NTM standards, along with infrastructure, priority should be given to hamlets and villages that retain the typical characteristics of Vietnamese villages.

Criteria for building models of seedlings and occupations that exploit the advantages of rural land, create jobs and increase income for people are emphasized.

Up to this point, districts are balancing resources to issue support mechanisms for hamlets and villages, in which Que Phong and Nghia Dan districts are planning to support 30 - 50 million VND/hamlet when meeting the New Rural criteria./.
