Thanh Chuong's youth team narrowly defeated Quy Hop 2-1.

(Baonghean.vn) - Although not playing outstandingly, Thanh Chuong team still managed a hard-fought victory against Quy Hop team with a score of 2-1. After this match, Quy Hop became the 4th team to be eliminated from the tournament before the group stage ended.

In the 2015 season, Thanh Chuong team was eliminated in the group stage after failing to overcome Hung Nguyen and Quy Hop teams. This was the opening match, and Thanh Chuong team certainly didn't want to suffer a bad result.

As for Quy Hop District, this is their second match of the season after losing 0-3 to Do Luong District in their opening game. They absolutely must win to have any chance of advancing to the next round and, further, to dream of winning the championship.

The opening minutes of the match were quite dramatic. However, the attacks from both teams lacked coordination and organization. The Thanh Chuong team had better physical fitness than the Quy Hop team, so they consistently won many ball contests. In the 8th minute, player number 8, Hong Phuc of Thanh Chuong, scored the opening goal with a tap-in.

There were many heated clashes between players from both teams.

In the following minutes, both teams pushed forward in search of more goals. Despite their smaller stature, the Quy Hop players were incredibly agile, overcoming the relentless marking to unleash shots. However, no further goals were scored.

After several attacks, Thanh Chuong team finally scored to increase their lead to 2-0, with player number 9 Nguyen Tuan Khang being the scorer. Tuan Khang's goal came from a quick counter-attack; the ball was passed to him from his own half, and he quickly dribbled the ball and unleashed a low but powerful shot that beat the Quy Hop team's goalkeeper. The score at halftime was 2-0.

The second half began. The Quy Hop team's reinforced defense somewhat slowed down Thanh Chuong's attack. Meanwhile, Thanh Chuong's players created more attacking opportunities. After several missed chances, in the 26th minute, the diminutive player number 7, Nguyen Tuan Anh of Quy Hop, scored with a diagonal shot that beat the Thanh Chuong goalkeeper, reducing the score to 1-2.

In the following minutes, both teams exchanged attacks. Thanh Chuong team was awarded two free kicks near the penalty area, but unfortunately, the players failed to convert them. For Quy Hop team, the main attacking threat remained player number 7, Nguyen Tuan Anh.

With little time left in the match, players from both teams continued to attack relentlessly because the 2-1 lead was too precarious. Players repeatedly missed clear scoring opportunities, much to the disappointment of the spectators. And the 2-1 scoreline in favor of Thanh Chuong remained unchanged until the end of the match.

The players provided the audience with an exciting match.

Thus, Quy Hop Youth Team is the fourth team to be eliminated from the tournament. In Group F, Do Luong Youth Team is leading with 3 points and a goal difference of +3; Thanh Chuong Youth Team is in second place with 3 points and a goal difference of +1. The ticket to the quarterfinals between these two teams will be decided at 3 PM on June 13th.
