'Skillful mass mobilization' in new rural construction in Quynh Van

(Baonghean.vn) - Through many ways of propaganda and mobilization, the Party cells in Quynh Van commune (Quynh Luu) have brought a vibrant atmosphere to the whole commune about building new rural areas.demonstrating the will and determination of the Party, government and people here.

Village 20, Quynh Van commune has the largest population in the commune with 1,200 people, the traffic system is not synchronized, so it is very difficult to clear the corridor to straighten and adjust the rural roads. After receiving the policy of the Party Committee, the People's Committee of the commune, the village front work committee held a meeting and issued a thematic resolution determined to complete the rural traffic program.

In just 1 month, Party cell 20 has propagated and mobilized people to donate 2,100 m2 of residential land, dismantled 24,000 m2 of surrounding walls; people agreed to contribute 2.5 million VND/household to buy materials to concretize the entire traffic system of the village.

Mr. Ho Dung Trung - Secretary of Party Cell 20, Quynh Van Commune said: "After receiving the commune's policy on building new rural areas, the Front Committee of Village 20 held a meeting to discuss and establish a construction team to agree on the design and estimated cost of building the road. Then, the resolution was implemented through 4 village meetings and received the people's approval. Up to now, 256 households have contributed a total of 1.2 billion VND to buy materials to pour the road, in addition, people have participated in thousands of working days to build the project."

Local leaders regularly monitor the progress and quality of new rural roads.

One of the successes of village 20 is promoting the pioneering spirit of cadres and party members. For example, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Quang's family, a doctor at the provincial hospital, when the village front committee came to his house to propagate the policies and benefits of the new rural construction program, he voluntarily donated 140m of residential land, dismantled 80m of surrounding wall and a three-door gate for the village to straighten the curve. This is the family that donated the most land in village 20, from his actions, the villagers set an example of donating land and construction together.

Thanks to the good development of the grassroots broadcasting system, updating news of villages as models in the construction of new rural areas. At the same time, setting an example of advanced models leading the way in donating land and property, the movement to build new rural areas in Quynh Van commune has had a profound influence.

As the largest and most populous area in the district, Quynh Van is considered the most difficult unit in the new rural construction program. However, after nearly 1 year of implementing the Resolution of the Party Congress of the commune, term XXX, 2015 - 2020, the new rural appearance is increasingly improving. The whole commune has built nearly 30km of concrete roads according to new rural standards, 6m wide and 20cm thick, in which the people contributed more than 3.7 billion VND.

In addition, the commune has also allocated a budget to upgrade the spacious stadium, build a 2-storey medical station, and a national standard kindergarten. The commune is currently promoting the construction of the People's Committee and People's Council headquarters with a total investment value in infrastructure construction from 2015 to present reaching over 40 billion VND. The whole commune has successfully implemented 15/19 new rural criteria.

The above results are partly due to the new, young and capable cadres who were strengthened after the Party Congress, but more importantly, the locality has done a good job of implementing the grassroots democracy regulations, listening to and soliciting people's opinions. At the same time, promoting the pioneering and exemplary role of cadres and party members, promptly setting examples of advanced models for widespread replication. Hopefully, when "the Party's will meets the people's will", Quynh Van will soon reach the finish line of the new rural construction program.
