Camry driver beaten by locals after dragging motorbike 5km

After crashing into a scooter going in the same direction, causing the female driver to fall, the Camry driver pushed the motorbike 5 km despite many people chasing him. When the car tire blew out, he abandoned the motorbike and ran away, but was surrounded and beaten by people.

The accident occurred at around 11:10 p.m. on August 29 on Vu Tong Phan Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi.

According to witnesses, the Camry with license plate 30A was traveling from Nga Tu So to Kim Giang. Due to the narrow road, the car behind suddenly crashed into a scooter going in the same direction.

The crash caused the female driver to fall off the motorbike onto the road, leaving the motorbike stuck in front of the car.

Despite passersby asking the car driver to stop, he still sped away and “pushed” the motorbike. Behind him, many people on motorbikes chased after him.

Approaching the intersection of Tran Hoa - Nghiem Xuan Yem (Hoang Mai district), nearly 5 km from the accident scene, the motorbike was shot onto the sidewalk near the Traditional Medicine Hospital. The front plastic shell of the vehicle was crushed and the seat was detached.

At this time, the driver continued to drive the car away onto Nguyen Xien street towards Nguyen Trai.

Approaching alley 168 Nguyen Xien, the Camry had a flat tire and had to stop. Seeing the crowd approaching, the driver abandoned the car and ran into a construction site on the side of the road and was attacked by some people.

When the Kim Giang ward police arrived, the victim was hiding in a workers' shed. The police immediately took him to the headquarters to ensure his safety.

According to a police officer, the female victim was lucky to have only minor injuries. The scooter was badly damaged, and the Camry had a broken front end.
