(Baonghean.vn) - The draw for the 2016 AFF Cup placed Vietnam in a relatively easy group alongside Myanmar, Malaysia, and the top team from the qualifying round. Defending champions Thailand are in Group A with Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

The AFF Suzuki Cup 2016 kicked off from November 19th to December 17th in Myanmar.

To prepare for the 2016 AFF Cup, the Vietnamese national team will convene on September 24th. Following that, the team will play a friendly match against North Korea before embarking on a training camp in South Korea. In South Korea, the Vietnamese team will play three friendly matches. In early November, the Vietnamese national team will participate in several international friendly matches.
